Leonie Klock

Leonie is a psychologist (Diplom, Free University Berlin), neuroscientist (Dr.rer.nat., Humboldt Universität zu Berlin), and a mindfulness teacher (MBSR, Mindfulness based stress reduction). She is currently in training to become a cognitive behavioral psychotherapist.

With so many diverse interests across these various interdisciplinary fields and personal passions, Leonie often found herself wondering about where to go next, and how to integrate her passions. One summer, she decided to make room for these life reflections by assembling a prototype workshop - just for herself. That prototype helped her gain a much-needed element of clarity and direction in her life, and became the basis for the Finding Ikigai workshop series. Now, she integrates her experience as a psychologist, scientist and mindfulness teacher in offering this workshop to others.

James Fish

James is a sociologist, designer, and musician with a lifelong interest in ‘how to make sense of one’s various parts.’ As a sociology undergrad at Harvard University, he studied how people from mixed heritage form and understand their own cultural and racial identities. Later as a coach at the HPI School of Design Thinking, he helped teams of students from interdisciplinary backgrounds find collaborative team dynamics and achieve common goals.

Like many, James finds himself challenged to find balance between professional skills, creative passions, personal values, all while planning for an uncertain future. These experiences have led him to ask these questions internally - and to want to help others navigate them, too.
